A poker hand consists of two personal cards, five community cards, and one optional card. The highest poker hand is a Royal Flush, which contains four matching cards of the same rank and five consecutive suits. Other high hands include a Straight, Three of a Kind, and a Full House. Ties are broken by the High Card.<\/p>\n
When it is your turn to bet, you can either call the bet of the player before you or raise your own bet. To do this, simply say \u201ccall\u201d or “I call” and place the appropriate number of chips or cash in the pot.<\/p>\n
Some poker games have a special fund called the kitty, which is used to pay for new decks of cards and food or drinks. This fund is usually set up by unanimous or majority agreement, and players may agree to share the kitty after each poker game.
